How To Get Ahead of IELTS Test

IELTS or International English Language Testing System has been operational since its introduction in 1989 to see if students from all through the globe are trained in English. Test Format Overview
Four sub-tests encompass the overall IELTS i.e. Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening. Individuals appearing for IELTS have to obtain all four of these tests. The tests of Speaking and Listening are general to all individuals who plan to sit for the IELTS; although, depending on whether the personality intends to take a seat for the Academic or the General Training, the tests on Writing and Reading are different.

The IELTS listening test goes on for a half hour or so and is including of four sections. The test is played on a computer audio system. With the purpose of getting Canadian Immigration, you have to prove before immigration authorities that you have adequate English language skills. IELTS checks your proficiency in 4 specific areas of English language. IELTS results are crucial in immigration process because they decide one's eligibility to enter in Canada.

There are 2 types of IELTS test

1. IELTS (Academic) For syudy purpose
2. IELTS (General) is specifically designed for immigration purpose.
IELTS test has modules (Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking). Score of each module of IELTS award you an exact number of points.

Following is the comparison of IELTS Band and Canadian Immigration Points.
IELTS band 7 or higher:
4 Points will be awarded for Canadian Immigration

Lower than 7 band but higher than or equal to 5 Band:
2 Points will be awarded for each category

Example: If you have scored 7 in reading and 7 in writing as well, 6.5 Band in listening and 5.5 band in speaking than your total Canadian immigration points will
Reading = 4
Writing = 4
Listening = 2
Speaking = 2
Total points abtained fro immigration in this case = 12
