The Immigration time for previous Canadian Immigration cases has been decreased after the appointment of minister Kenney in October 2008. Minister kenney is extensively working on reducing the backlog of Canadian Innigrants who applied in the year 2004, 2005 and 2006.
Canadian Government is very keen to facilitate Prospective Immigrants. Thats why Canada is taking positive steps towards processing time of Immigration. This time raised to 5 to 6 years when it comes to countries like India, Pakistan and Philippines in past processing criteria. But now the change has been made. Canadian Government also reduced the minimum IELTS score for Immigration purpose to get maximum 16 points of Canadian Immigration.

Canadian Lawyer filed a Petition that IELTS should not be compulsory for those People whom mother tongue is English and who are migrating from English spoken countries. Is it true?

ReplyDeleteDont worry on that. This is only due to a junk of post feb 2008 applicants.
As per decesion made on 26 june 2010, now the primary focus is backlog applicants thats why they have limited the figure of new applicants to 20,000 annually.
On the other hand the total figure of annual immigrants will remain 265000.
It means that 265000-20000=245000. If we exclude students and other categories from 245000 than the figure comes to approx 170,000. So approx 170,000 backlog applicants will be processed each year.
Dont u worry please on this increase in time because it will be decreased very speedily

Dear comrade at the time of updated file i had shown prrof of unds in form of Fixed Deposits of 9 lacs i wated for about 18 months and same got renewed after a year now I have used overdraft of 50000/= after 18 months of showing. Will it affect decision I have stocks worth more than 15 lacs also shown in addition under proof of funds. I had to show 9 lacs only.

Dear Jotbinder , your case seems to be little confusing. When did you sent orizinally your application to cic? If in May then why did you recd aor in Nov, so late. Have you applied through consultant. if so then your application might have been sent little late probably in the month of sept or oct,which you might not knowing. If your file starts with No B0474 then you are a case of sept 2004. Pl clarify what are your initial three digits of file.

ReplyDeletemy name is tayyab and i am from pakistan, my mother applied for immigration in jan, 2005 and got the file number in march, 2005. I have a different kind of question.. my age was 17 at that time and now i am 23 i have completed my engineering a year ago and i wanted to apply for master studies in Canada, so i waited all this year but if i want to apply to the September 2011 session the deadline are January 2011.. which means if i waited one more year i will lose three important years of my career.
So i decided to apply on a student visa, and if a get the visa i would go but some one told me that it will bring a negative point to your family file and may be if your family gets the immigration you will be exempted from it because there will already a be student visa on your passport and to get a student visa you have to show a bank statement of 40 lacks rupees. He said that by doing this they will think that your are self dependent but as your mother is your main applicant then her children have to show them self dependent on their parents.

On seeing the last few years performance of cic in clearing the back looged cases of 2004, i doubt that even 2004 batch of applications will not be cleared in two years. what will happen to 2005 and onwards cases?can you pl give how much more time is requied by cic to put their house in order.

ReplyDeleteThe processing of CIC was slow because CIC was dealing 2 simultaneous streams of applicants between 28 feb 2008 and 26 june 2010.
As per new policy there is a cap on new applicants (20,000) and old applicants' processing will boost up because canada will not reduce its target of new immigrats every year. i.e. 265000

What exactly is the analysis of CHC New Delhi regarding old applicant process
Why new delhi timeline is increasing from 72 month to 80 month & now from 80 month to 90 month. Mention the misleading information on the website about the processing time as it gives an impression that the future processing time would be more or less the same.
Why does the New Delhi and the Canadian site differ in the processing times?
Why are new priority processing rules allowed to come and go without processing the long waiting applications.
Please help or give some hint about processing been done at new delhi .

Mr Kaushik, the policy of Mr kenney, The minister of canada is such that the time lines will go on increasing untill you withdraw your application or get demised. Only this is the way with him to get rid of you and other thiusands of applicants. His intention is not in favour of backloggers. CIC is only showing crocodilles eyes with no output for last 7 years.

Comrade sir, that means cic will not process 2004 cases till April 2011 and in fact backlogged cases of fast track will be cleared in 2010. Is nt it in humanity and discrimination towards 2004 applicants?We have learnt that rule of law pervails in canada then why justice is not being given to old applicants. cic is well aware that we old applicants cant do any thing to get our cases fastened but that does nt means that cic acts in such a rigid manner. see many of us have been waiting our turn for seven years and this have disturbed our important decsions of life.we are realy very frustrated by this delay in processing our files.

Embassy.
* New Delhi Visa Officers not processing old applications, keep on increasing processing
times. Is this a part of the undisclosed policy to discourage immigrants from India?
Chandigarh, India, September 06, 2010: Applicants who had applied for immigration under Federal
Skilled Workers (FSW) Class in June 2003 and onwards i.e. Pre-Feb 2008 have come together
online and have formed a forum to highlight their plight as they have been forced to wait for more
than 7 years, without any fixed time-line for a decision on their cases.
Such long processing times dissuade legal immigration and creates a congenial
atmosphere for crooked immigration Consultants and Agents to lure would-be immigrants
by promising them faster immigration, based on forged and fraudulent documents.
Addressing this issue of backlog, would be a step towards taking anti-fraud initiatives
against these scamsters and unlawful Agents.
There is a huge disparity in the processing times of various countries. Let's consider our neighbor
China, for a moment. China caters as much as India does to the immigrant pool of Canada, but has
the processing time of 41 months, against 90 months of India. Does this imply that the processing in
India is slow NOT because the Canadian embassy in India has to process more applications, but
because Canada wishes to discourage immigration from India?
The old applicants were given an impression that the future processing times would be more or less
the same as of past, which were 33 months at the time of filing the applications. These have been
extended every now and then, and currently stand today at 90 months, an UNBELIEVABLE 200%
increase!
New priority processing rules like "Fast Track" are allowed to come and go without processing the
long waiting applications. This totally violates the promise made to old applicants that the
"applications will be processed in order they are received" Why are the old applicants being
discriminated against for none of their fault? Is that what the Canadians mean by imparting justice
and being fair? Further, now that even the "Fast Track - 1" with 38 occupation list has been scrapped
and there is a "New Fast track" with 29 occupation list, further increasing the backlog. Is this not
playing with the future of the applicants as it suits Canadian market demands? Does the Canadian
Immigration Department not have any foresight? Can they not plan the intake of applications a year
or two in advance?
Has the Canadian government taken into the fact that the applicants who were medically fit at the
time of application may not remain so after 7 to 10 years, and how does it intend to deal with such
cases? Will they be simply rejected because now after waiting all this time, they turn too old to meet
the strenuous medical standards?
The two official websites of the Canadian Government give misleading information, giving two
totally different processing times for the same application category. One showing 76 and the other
90 months. On inquiry we get a automated generic reply that your application is in a queue.
What is the real reason for the long processing times? Is it only because of lack of resources at the
processing departments? If so the application fees should have the provision to employ more staff
for processing.
We will also urge Minister Kenny by submitting a memorandum to resolve our long pending issue
related to the ever stretching visa application processing times and the long delay caused by the
Canadian Embassy in Delhi.

Even If cic thinks that few %age of applications will be taken back or some change their mind to immigrate, cic still have a backlog of many applications which they have to process even after a delay of 100 months as there are more thn 90% of applicants who are in the age group of 40 and they will never surrender before the ill wills of cic. what will cic do then even if one applicant went to court in india citing reason of fallen health as cic delay in processing and demanded huge compensation in return to unwanted long harrasment and mental torture in the hands of cic?Such problems may have to be faced by cic and how to tackle these problems and find solutions ,is a big question.
