The Strategic Occupations stream beneath the Provincial Nominee Program of British Columbia is for applicants who have an employment offer from an employer in British Columbia. This stream of the BC PNP allows the contributing employers of the province to search for and recruit abroad skilled workers so as to meet the employment requirements of the labor market. Though, employers must gratify the program that the job that they have cannot be filled by the citizens/PR of Canada, but abroad skilled workers.
Those who desire to submit an application under the BC Provincial Nominee Program Strategic Occupations Stream are necessary to have an employment offer in hand from an employer in British Columbia or they must have masters/doctorate degree from a British Columbia post-secondary institution in either,
•Health sciences
•Natural science
•Applied science
There are 5 categories in the Strategic Occupations Stream under which applications for provincial nomination are accepted. They are:
1. International Post Graduates Pilot Project
2. Entry-level and Semi-skilled Pilot Project
3. Skilled Workers
4. Designated Health Care Professionals
5. International Graduates
Below are a few basic requirements of all the above mentioned categories:
•An applicant must not be having an on the go asylum claim.
•If a candidate is applying for the nomination from outside Canada, he/she must not be facing any order against entering Canada.
•An applicant must have the purpose to settle in British Columbia.
•An applicant must possess the abilities to be financially established in the province.
•If an applicant is applying from inside Canada or he/she has already been in Canada, the applicant must be a lawful immigrant in the country. The applicant must not be facing any deportation order.
