International Student stream falls beneath the Priority Assessment Stream of the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program. In this class, international students can immigrate to Manitoba and submit an application for permanent residence position in Canada. Graduates from a Manitoba post-secondary educational institution who have a standard employment offer from a Manitoba company, which is linked to what they have studied are entitled to submit an application for the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program.
Below are few of the requirements for the students:
•Applicants are required to keep on working with an employer in Manitoba for six months at the least, at the time of filing the application.
•They must have a permanent and regular job offer from their employers with whom they have been working for last six months or more.
•The applicants applying in the category for abroad students must be the graduates from a Manitoba post-secondary program.
•An open work permit for the post graduates in Manitoba has to be applied for with the Canadian High Commission.
As far as the post-graduate open work permit is concerned, potential applicants of the International Students Stream of the MPNP can submit an application for the same with the CIC. An utmost of ninety days is given after the conclusion of their academic program to submit an application for this work permit. For your information, graduates in Canada from other Canadian provinces can also be entitled for the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program. On the other hand, international students who have obtained a post-secondary degree in any Canadian province cannot submit an application for the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program under the International Student stream. They have the choice to submit an application under the Employer Direct Stream.
These students must meet the following requirements:
•Must have a Manitoba connection, perhaps a family member who has been living in the province.
•Graduates from any Canadian province, other than Manitoba must have been working with a local employer in Manitoba for a minimum period of six months with an open work permit.
if an international graduate from ontario does not have family member in manitoba, is that candidate eligible to apply under MPNP??
ReplyDeletealso, should the job be necessarily related to the field of study of the candidate??
please guide.
AS PER OFFICIAL MANITOBA IMMIGRATION WEBSITE, ---------> http://www.immigratemanitoba.com/how-to-immigrate/eligibility/ <-------- SEE POINT (B), IT IS CLEARLY MENTIONED,FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS, IT IS NOT MENTIONED, THAT THE JOB OFFER IN MANITOBA AFTER POST SECONDARY STUDY IN A MANITOBA POST SECONDARY EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTE, HAS TO BE RELATED TO FIELD OF STUDY. HENCE JOB OFFER DOESN'T NEED TO BE IN THE FIELD OR ANY RELATED/ LIKED FIELD OF ONE'S STUDY. KINDLY CORRECT THE INFORMATION.
