It is a not-for-profit, self-regulatory body created to defend the consumers of immigration consulting services while make sure the education, competency testing and discipline of its members.
It is the national association of numerous attorneys and law professors who practice and teach immigration law. Canadian Immigration Lawyers Association represents tens of thousands of Canadian families who have applied for permanent residence for themselves, their spouses, children, and other close relatives to lawfully enter and reside in the Canada.
Canadian Immigration Lawyers Association Members also stand for foreign students, visitors, immigrants, and asylum seekers, often on a pro bono basis. Founded in 2002, Canadian Society of Immigration Consultants provides its Members with continuing legal education, information, professional services.
