Good News for Immigration Applicants in Backlog

Canada has limited the number of immigration to 20,000 because of the huge backlog of those who applied before March 27, 2008. Even with elevated numbers of economic immigrants, Canada still receives numerous more applications than can be processed in an appropriate way. Consequently, the department is restricting the number of new applications it will think about in the federal skilled worker category every year.

Canada will carry on to welcome traditionally high numbers of immigrants, but Canada need to deal with the figure of new applications or hazard creating new backlogs and longer processing times. Minister Kenney said that they have more than an adequate amount of applications on hand now to fill lots of of our needs, and we want to be fair to those prospective immigrants who have been waiting the longest.

Congratulations to all applicants in Backlog.

  9. I hope they do. There was yet an immigration consultant who added that the old applications will be processed but at a slow rate and those(old applicants) who fall in the new NOC codes will have theirs processed faster. Mine does not appear in the new list, so here I go into hibernation again!

I do not see any progress here in Korea where seoul office has stopped processing FSW since late 2009. Can anyone tell me if you see any progress somewhere else? I do hope things are moving again for old law applicants in Seoul.

  31. Dear,
Yes the processing time of pre feb 2008 applicants has been increased due to a large number of applications of post feb 2008 applicants.
But after the decesion of june 26 2010, backlog applicants are on the priority and yhis time will reduce speedily

    ReplyDelete
  32. But comrade this link is updated few (2-3 days) back, lots after the declaration of june 26 rule. That means they are really taking this much time??

    ReplyDelete
  33. Dear,
Things are disturbed now in CHC because of junk of post feb 2008 applications. The procedure will be streamlined in coming months.

    ReplyDelete
  34. thnx for your reply comrade.
but at last can you plz tell me by your estimate or experience, by wht time i would get Visa.
i file my application on 15th march 2004.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Your case processing might be start in the end of this year. or perhaps the first quarter of 2011

    ReplyDelete
  36. They are more readily accepting applications and deliberately coming out with new rules and schemes for some dedicated financial benefit obviously. Who can think of new rules when already a backlog needs to be cleared. Why the hell they make new rules or even accept new applications if they are really determined to clear the backlog. Hell with Canada.

    Thanks .

    ReplyDelete
  38. Dear Anonymous,
Only 20,000 new applicants will immigrate to canada every year and 245,000 old applicants (included students and others) will immigrate to canada enery year. This will definately reduce the backlog with in 2 years. Dont u worry plzz

  40. CHC Delhi has increased the timelines form 80 months to 90 months for the pre-feb2008 backlog cases. What happened to all the talk of reducing backlog when timelines are actually increasing by a massive 10 months.

    ReplyDelete
  41. these are aggregate timelines based on past estimates. These are not future timelines.

You will see positive results in coming months

  122. Hi dear friends

"Good News for Immigration Applicants in Backlog"

Haa Haa , very cheerful and promising title , BUT the statement "... Consequently, the department is restricting the number of new applications it will think about in the federal skilled worker category every year."
appeared to be not true . What was mentioned above including the speach of the minister Kenny is NOT honest . It has been published in Jun 2010 , and NOW we are aproaching Sep 2011 and no any advances. So how we can beleave them more and we see that so many applicants from 2010 and even 2011 have already landed in Canada while still there are huge numbers of applicants from 2004 up to 2008 who are waiting hopelessly.
Is this the utopia to where we want to throw our selfs in , Just think about this.

with my wishes to all to get their PR cards very soon.
