  3. An invitation letter is more often than not needed if you are going to Canada to visit a friend or family member. All you require to do is ask your friend to send you an invitation letter. Send them all the information manually and let them write the letter. I recommend that you ask them to mail the letter to you by usual mail, and then you can place the letter with the stamped envelope in your application package. The stamped envelope is significant for the reason that it makes it shows some form of authenticity. Though, previous to mailing out the letter, ask your friend to scan the signed letter and send a copy to you via email. You will use this copy if you do not take delivery of the mailed letter on time. My friends and family have used the scanned copy a couple of times and it has worked for them. However, I suggest that you use the original copy if likely.
    Your letter must include the following information about the person being invited:

    * The purpose of the trip.
    * How long the person you are inviting intends to stay in Canada.
    * Details on accommodation and living expenses.
    * The date the person you are inviting intends to leave Canada.
    * Complete name.
    * Date of birth.
    * The person’s address and telephone number.
    * Your relationship to the person being invited.

    Your letter must also include the following information about the person writing the letter:

    * Complete name.
    * Date of birth.
    * Address and telephone number in Canada.
    * Occupation.
    * Whether you are a Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident
    * A photocopy of a document proving your status in Canada.

  11. To visit Canada, you must:
    •assure an immigration officer that you will leave Canada at the end of your visit
    •have sufficient money for your stay. The quantity of money you will need can differ with the circumstances of the visit, how long you will stay and whether you will reside in a hotel or with friends or relatives.
    •have a legitimate travel document, for example a passport
    •be in good physical condition
    •convince an immigration officer that you have ties, for example a job, home and family, that will fetch you back to your country of origin

  15. I met someone while i was in India on business. He was on vacation visiting his family and was staying in the same city as I. He works and lives in Dubai but is a citizen of India I would like to invite him for 3 weeks to visit me in Toronto and to see a little bit of the country. I am a Canadian citizen and live at home with my parents. He will be staying at our home and most of his expenses will be paid for. Do you think there will be issues with him obtaining a visa? Is there anything I should know to include or not to include in my letter of invite? Should I purchase the plane ticket for him and will it help him with his visa? Please help, this is my first time doing something like this and not sure what to expect and how things should be done. I appreciate any help i can get. Thanks.

I am a Canadian citizen and my parents applied to obtain a visit visa twice but was refused saying the visa officer is not satisfied that you will go back at the end of the visa. They want to apply again but I want to make sure that we include all the correct documents and details. Thanks

    i appreciate your help

    1. Make a letter yourself and notarized to any lawyer. Some lawyer u can pay only for $20 to $30 depends on your provide lawyer. It's just notarized anyway. U can do one letter and copy the other one for yourself. Then u can submit the letter to the person u want to invite and submit all the requirements to the nearest visa office.

  77. Hi,
    I am a canadian permanent resident for over 2 years, and I will get married this summer so I would like to invite my parents, brother and friends for the event. My sister and I had a Refugie case about 6 years ago here in Canada that end it up in an deportation order for both of us. I got the permition to return as a permanent resident but my sister didnt applied for it so she is still an inadmissible person so she wont come for the wedding. But I want to know if my family and friens dont have a chance to get the visit visa because of this? Do you recomend to try or do you know if is 100% sure that they may not get it?

    Thank you,
